UCB has signed an agreement to acquire a new campus for its UK operations supporting cutting-edge research and development, early manufacturing and commercialisation of medicines aiming to transform the lives of people living with severe immunological and neurological conditions.
It will feature a new three-storey central ‘brain’ at the heart of the proposed development. This 2,870m² timber building – officially known as the collaboration hub – will be partially sunk into the heart of the existing campus, connecting the different wings of the research and design building and improving circulation. To make way for this new addition, a 1967 biology east wing and courtyard will be demolished.
